Rectangular Industrial Plug Connector Insulation Resistance
HA Series refers to the resistance value presented by applying DC voltage to the insulating part of the connector, which causes leakage current on the surface or inside of the insulating part. If the insulation resistance value is low, a feedback circuit may be formed, increasing power loss and causing interference. Excessive leakage current can generate heat or DC electrolysis to destroy insulation, causing short circuits and endangering safety.
The factors that affect the insulation resistance of the connector are mainly: connector temperature, connector humidity, connector contamination, connector oxidation and the performance of the material itself. For example, the volume resistivity value of the insulating material determines the insulation resistance.
